Creative Spark is an independent event production company owned and run by husband-and-wife team Dan and Claire Terry. With over 40 years of combined experience in technical theatre and live event production, they met on a theatre show in 2012 and launched Creative Spark in 2015, merging their skills to create something personal, professional, and technically excellent.

The ethos has always been simple: deliver the kind of event production services we’d want ourselves — with care, creativity, and great communication. Whether supporting a conference, awards night, or immersive activation, our event production team offers tailored solutions and expert guidance to make things seamless from start to finish. Over the past nine years, Creative Spark has grown to include a brilliant group of event production professionals with a wide range of technical and creative strengths. With our base in West Sussex, we regularly deliver events across London and the South East, combining our technical event production experience with a collaborative, client-first approach.

Claire developed an interest in lighting and technical theatre at an early age whilst helping her dad with his school productions. Her passion for doing things properly and her attention to detail make her a real asset to any event — particularly where she can bring in a little theatre craft. Claire is one of our most experienced event production designers, with a talent for bringing spaces to life.

When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing netball, and reading when she can.

Dan Terry

Dan has had a passion for electrics and lighting since a young age and always aspired to a career in lighting. After earning a BA Hons in Lighting Design from Rose Bruford, he gained experience across all elements of event production, including time with a leading London events company. As a qualified electrician, he now leads Creative Spark’s technical event production with an exacting eye and a drive for perfection.

Away from work, Dan can often be found cooking up a storm — and makes a mean steak, medium rare.
